Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use Famora, in our iPhone app or at famora.co.uk ("the Service"). By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or over to create an account. Keep your sign-in details safe and tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

3. Your household

When you invite people into your household, they can see and edit the household's records. Only invite people you trust, and only add information about others (including children) where you are entitled to.

4. Your content

You own everything you add to Famora. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so we can provide the Service to you and your household, including sending it to AI providers when you have allowed AI features. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.

5. AI features

AI features are optional and only run with your permission. AI can make mistakes: always check important details, such as dates, amounts and policy terms, against the original document before relying on them. Famora does not give legal, financial, medical or insurance advice.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service, including by trying to access other households' data, interfering with the Service's security, uploading unlawful content, or using it to harass others. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Famora running and your data safe, but we cannot promise the Service will always be available or error-free. Keep your own copies of important original documents. We may change or stop features, and will give notice of significant changes where we reasonably can.

8. Paid features

Famora is currently free. If we introduce paid features in the iPhone app, they will be sold through Apple's In-App Purchase and subject to Apple's terms, and we will tell you the price before you pay.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for missed renewals, deadlines or payments, since you remain responsible for managing your own affairs. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

11. Apple

If you use Famora on an iPhone, these terms are between you and Famora, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them against you.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring claims in your local courts.
