Famora ("we", "us", "our") is a household organiser that helps families keep their documents, subscriptions, finances, travel, plans and life admin in one private place. The service is available in our iPhone app and at famora.co.uk. We are based in the United Kingdom and are the controller of the personal data described here.
For privacy matters, contact us at appfamora@gmail.com or through our contact page.
We never sell your data, never use it for advertising, and never use it to train AI models.
Famora asks for your permission before any AI feature runs. If you allow it, the information needed for a feature (your questions, the relevant household details, and the content of documents and photos you ask Famora to process) is sent through our hosting platform, Base44, to Google (Gemini), OpenAI and Anthropic (Claude) to generate answers, read documents and prepare reminders.
If you choose "Not now", Famora still works for storing and organising your information, but AI features are switched off. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > AI Preferences. Household background processing only runs AI when at least one member has allowed it and nobody in the household has declined.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards.
You can delete your account at any time inside the app: open Settings and choose Delete account. This removes your account and the personal data linked to it. If you are the only member of a household, the household's records are deleted too; if others remain, your own membership and details are removed. Copies held in our hosting provider's backups are removed on its normal backup cycle, except where we must keep something by law.
If you no longer have the app or can't sign in, email appfamora@gmail.com from the email address on your account with the subject 'Delete my Famora account'. We will confirm it is you, delete the account and its data as described above within one month, and tell you when it is done.
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account or remove an item, we delete it as described above. Limited security records (for example, that an account was deleted) may be kept for as long as needed to protect the service and meet legal obligations.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete and export your personal data, to object to or restrict some processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use these rights, email appfamora@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Famora accounts are for adults aged 18 and over. Parents and guardians may add information about their children to their household, and are responsible for doing so.
We use essential cookies and similar storage for sign-in, security and remembering your settings. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We will tell you about significant changes by email or with a notice in the app before they take effect.
